How To Access Your Gmail Offline


Generally if we want to check our Inbox then we have to connect the internet and sometimes we face some technical problems while connecting. After successful connection within few minutes we have to disconnect this connectivity. Hence to avoid this problem Gmail has introduced new facility that is we can access Gmail account offline too. But we need to access Pop or I-Map. After this we can disconnect the internet and next to this we can access all Gmail account offline.


During this period we can check our mails and can compose too. When we connect the internet that time we can send this mail. Select Offline mail and start this facility.

For this offline Gmail Access we need to make the following settings as per browser:

For Google Chrome:

You need to download Offline Google Mail browser App.

For Safari Browser:

You need to visit https://mail.google.com/mail/mu/?mui=ca.

You must use https not only http.

You can use Google gears for Offline Gmail:

Following instruction should follow while using Google gears:

1. Need to install Google gears completely.
2. You can use this in Internet explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Mac OS X 10.5.
3. Go to the Gmail Settings.
4. Need to click on the Offline (New Tab)
5. While selecting above please choose ‘ Offline Mail for this computer’
6. Click on ‘Save changes’ then ‘Next’
7. A dialogue box will come but you need to check

         "https://mail.google.com" OR "http://mail.google.com"

9. Then it will ask you “I trust this site allows it to use Gears”. Click on’ Allow’.
10. Wait till Gmail synchronization. After this your Offline Gmail will start.
11. When you use this computer then you can access offline Gmail. All your data will be saved after synchronization.
You can use different labels also.
