How to Fake Your Location In Google Chrome Trick

Many websites ask users to enter your current location so that they can get more correct information about users. For e.g. If you're searching something like a hotel then a map website will use your current location to provide you more relevant results.


How Browsers Find Out Your Locations: 

In previous time website are uses the IP address of the user to find out their correct location. After the HTML5  Geolocation API web browsers can easily find out your location using data from GPS, Wi-Fi, Mobile Towers, Bluetooth and the computer’s IP address. If you are ready to provide your location details then your browser will send your details of location to the Google Location Service to identify your location and then it will be shared with the website you are using.

Trick To Fake Your Geolocation Coordinates:

When user tries to visit a website which request you to enter your current location, at that time your browser will always ask you to verify before providing location to the website. If you don't want to share your location details with the website then you can cancel the verification request. But if you are using a Google Chrome Browser then you can have an another option that you can provide a fake location to that website.

Here is the procedure to do it:


First open the Chrome Developer tool from the setting or you can use a short cut key F12 or (Ctrl + Shift + I). Then click on the Setting option and toggle to the Overrides tab. Then you can change the correct latitude and longitude coordinates* that you want to provide to that website. To enter the correct latitude and longitude coordinates* you can make use of the Postal Address Finder. After changing the location refresh the entire page and automatically the fake location that you have set in the browser will get sent to that website. This option is very useful for SEO professionals those don't want to disclose their current location to any website.
