Information about New Facebook Graph Search

Yesterday night Facebook Inc. Has introduced an updated form of search which is “Graph Search”. As per the Mark Zuckerberg Facebook has now one more option in the row of Newsfeed and timeline that is Graph search. The Graph search still in development mode and it will be available for users soon. The Graph search after gets live will only available for desktop users the mobile version of the Graph search will take time to come.


Information that every Facebook user must know about the Graph Search:

  • Its appearance: 
After Graph Search gets live for all Facebook users a wider search bar will be appearing at the top of the every page like now. Now when you search anything on Facebook it will show you the set of results with Facebook page titles. This graph search will give Facebook users to customize their search result.

  • Not a web search:
The Graph search is not a web search it will not show you relevant result from the entire web like Google it will only show Facebook results. It will show you results for your search keyword as per the content shared by you, your friend and friend of friends.

  • Option what you want to search:
You can search as per the option means you can only search peoples, photos, videos and interest. As per the search you will find results for e.g. If you search for a person then it will show you result relevant to your city, friend and friend of friends. You can also find results as per your interest like favorite show, picture etc. It will display you an appropriate result for your search.  

  • Privacy:
  Facebook has already declared that they will give you full privacy and will not show your private content on the Graph search. Only the content which is publicly will be appearing in the Graph search.  The Graph search will only show the public content shared by your friends and friend of friends. The photo result will be appearing in search results as per photo quality which depends on comments and likes on it.

Facebook has huge data and they want you to search those data on the Facebook.
